1510809 Delivering sheets XEROX CORP 31 Oct 1975 [9 Dec 1974 (4)] 45523/75 Heading B8R Copy sheets from a copying-machine are according to the position of a diverter 180, Fig. 3, controlled by the machine, either deposited in a tray 115 for stacking, or caused by a horizontal pneumatic conveyer followed by a vertical conveyer 125 past the entrance to a plurality of bins 110 for collating. A carriage 147 is intermittently moved downwards by helices 150, 151, Fig. 4, past the bins, so that the sheets are delivered to successive bins by a diverter 145. At the same time, cams 142 act on pivoted fingers 135 to raise the preceding bin to enlarge the entry. A pointer 201 indicates which bin is operative. The conveyers are mounted on a frame 101 pivotable to the position of Fig. 3 to allow access. If a jam occurs, the tray 115 also comes into use.
