The unit includes several launching tubes, mounted on a base and turning in azimuth and elevating positions. The tubes are arranged in groups of four. The supply and loading mechanism includes drums (3,4) with circumferential recesses to take the rockets. The drums are driven by a shaft (6), enabling the rocket (5) to be brought into the loading position. Using a hoist mechanism (7), the rocket is then taken from the loading position, to the launching tube nozzle mouth for final insertion. In order to reach all launching tubes, the hoist mechanism is horizontally movable along a guide beam (8).
