A fuse for a projectile which is intended for not being armed before the impact of the projectile into a target, said fuse comprising a detonator 1 being arranged to move forwards in the fuse by its inertia at impact into the target into an armed position, thereby rotating around its axis such that it at a following backwards movement will reach a firing pin 5, rigidly positioned in the fuse. The rotation of the detonator is arranged to be provided by means of at least one pin 10 situated forward of the fuse, one end of said pin abutting on a sloping guiding face 11 in the detonator. By the detonator being arranged to take up at impact at the target an armed position, which is kept as long as the target is being penetrated, a delay of the detonation of the detonator is achieved in that this will not take place before the projectile has penetrated the target.
