The plastics band clamp (1) has a tensionable band (2) which may be adjustably clamped on a soft rubber bellows (3) by clamps (4) to hold the bellows on a shaft housing(S). The ends of the band are threaded through clamps (4) and one end (2b) is pulled taut through the slide (6). The screw (7) is screwed into a bore (5f) and the band is clamped to the slide by a washer (8) and the slide moved to further tension the band.
