A METHOD FOR CULTIVATING WATER-LIVING ANIMALS

In a combined process of breeding and cultivating aquatic animals (6) with aquatic plants carrying out photosynthesis, the plants, preferably macrophytes, are cultivated on land, and not in a volume of water. They are kept moist by the continuous application of a film of water, preferably by spraying or draining (4). The combined cultivation and breeding process is applied using animal breeding water, rich in N and P, to moisten the plants and at the same time as a source of plant nutrients. The plants purify the water by consuming its N and P content, and the purified water can be reused in the system (in 9, 10) or discharged without risk to the environment. Animals can be raised in a separate volume of water (20) or on land with the plants.
