The layer for pigeon houses, pigeon transport cages, pigeon nests or the like is characterised by a layer (11) of a tangled nonwoven made from natural fibres which, by means of lock stitches (14), is held together in itself and fixed to an underlayer (12) of knitted material or fabric. IMAGE
