The tool is for lifting a paving stone outt of a group laid together, for repairs or for replacement by stones marking the edge of a parking area. Use is made of thin paving-stone-gripping wedges (2, 2a) facing each other like tongs, hinged on forks (3, 3a) at the bottom end of a tool handle bar (4) held vertically to the paving. The bar has a rod linkage (5) fitted to it, linked to the gripping wedges for independentt position maintenance under heavy weight loading. The handle bar can be in the form of a hollow profile unitt, with the rod linkage led inside it, and with a hand-grip (7) protruding at the top.
