For a network having a preselectably non-linear relationship between input and output variable, an operational amplifier (V) connected to resistors (R, R/a, R.b) is used. Various part-resistors (R.b) of a voltage divider (R/a, R.b) can be inserted into the feedback circuit of the operational amplifier (V) via electronic switches (S1, S2,..., Sn).
