The invention relates to a sheet-like laminate having a carrier film and a useful layer bonded to said carrier film, in which the laminate is built up of two layers and has the ability, which can be activated, of delaminating its layers without damage and which consists of a hydrophilic carrier film and a hydrophobic useful layer connected to the latter without a release layer, and processes for applying layers to substrate surfaces using laminates of the disclosed design.
