Shift device of a gear-change transmission of a motor vehicle having a shift gate and a locking gate for a sliding block for the engagement and disengagement of the gears associated with a shift slot
A manual-shift lever of a shift device of a gear-change transmission of a motor vehicle is coupled to a shift gate and to a locking gate for a sliding block for the purpose of shifting the gears of a shift slot. The shift gate has a shift portion, differing from the path of movement of the sliding block, a neutral portion, and the locking slot has at least one locking portion differing from the path of movement and both slotted guides for its selection movements and slotted guides for shift movements of the shift gate respectively in relation to a stationary sliding block. To simplify the construction, the shift gate and locking gate are arranged fixedly relative to one another in terms of motion and the neutral portions, as a result of a slotted design, are used additionally as locking portions having a course differing from the path of movement. The shift portion having the neutral portions, on the one hand, and a number of slotted guides for shift movements corresponding to the number of shift slots, each slotted guide having an open transition to a common slotted guide for selection movements, on the other hand, are arranged, in each case, in a manner corresponding to the shift pattern of the manual-shift lever.
