The sprayer coats workpieces with liq. It has a rotating atomiser which is at high electrical potential relative tothe workpieces. The liq. is sprayed as film continuously radially or axially outwards. The liq. e.g. paint, is sprayed so that no air bubbles are formed in the coating layer. The spraying disc rotates at speeds above 20,000 revs. per minute. The surfae carrying the liq. film in the atomiser is turned over inwards at its extreme edge. This electrostatic spraying edge is arranged radially outside the centrifugal spraying area and pref. outside the spray mist path.
