摘要
The seed sowing process for corn e.g. is initiated by breaking the soil up into fine particles along disjointed parallel strips (B) separated by strips (E) of soil that has not been broken up. The process is completed by sowing the seed in the cultivated strips (B). The system reduces the risk of erosion of the fine soil by wind and rain. Two offset passes may be required to cultivate the land and the width of cultivated strips may be between 200 and 600 mm whilst the width of the unbroken soil strips is between 400 and 1000 mm. The machine may use tools (11) in transverse groups matching the cultivated strip width and separated by the unbroken soil strip width. Disc pairs (13), limit the cultivated strip width, the tools leading a multi bank seed-drill.
