The invention concerns hygienic containers and problems presented by cleaning and by the storage of urine. The principle is based on collection and rapid storing in a container different from that in which the animal has urinated. The unit is composed of three detachable sections. A basic frame 1, an upper box section 2, a storage container 4. The urine passes through the layer of gravel contained in the box section 2, whose bottom is constituted by a fine mesh sieve 3, filters and flows over the sloped shapes of the frame 1 towards a container 4 filled with absorbent gravel. A gutter 5 at the top of the frame 1 allows the depositing of a liquid for cleaning the sloped shapes. Once full, the container 4 will be emptied, rinsed and refilled with clean gravel.
