Improved ammunition of the type without a casing constituted by a bread powder cylindrical axial bore in which is stuck the back part of an ogival projectile, characterized in that the outer cylindrical surface of said bread powder is coated with a layer of one chosen to undergo an endothermic transformation under the conditions of firing material, while a similar material block is provided around at least a portion of the body of said projectile, in front of said powder of bread.
