The invention relates to a closure for an insulated container, in particular an insulated can or flask, having an upper closure part (12, 13) and a lower closure part (14, 15) which can be locked to each other by an arrangement whereby they engage retainingly over each other in the region of axial sections (17, 19, 27), the object of the invention being to avoid a loosening of the retention between the closure parts and to ensure the cohesion of the closure parts even when the closure is exposed to an elevated temperature.
