The invention relates to an operating process for a wet jigging machine for the preparation of mineral mixtures, especially coal, by the pulsatile motion of a separation liquid, and is characterised in that the pulsatile motion of the separation liquid is indirectly, hydraulically produced. To perform the operating process, a wet jigging machine is provided which has a hydraulic pulsation producer which preferably is program- controlled. Its lower part is constructed as, or similarly to, a diffuser.
