The small pneumatic drive for a construction kit with an operating cylinder is used for teaching or play. The operating cylinder has surface sections fitted with one part of mechanical plug-in connections, whereas the complementary parts of these plug-in connections are supported by other elements of the construction kit. The drive unit also includes a low pressure air pressure generator connected to the operating cylinder (10) the piston of which (20) is pre-tensioned by a spring (50) into a rest position. The piston carries sealing lips (28) tightly adjoining the inner wall of the cylinder (16) and the air pressure generator includes a drive bellows (14) pre-tensioned by a spring (60) into a pulled-out rest position providing a large volume of air pressure generating space.
