Process and device for simulation and firing exercise for ballistic ammunition and moving targets, comprising the following phases: before the starting of the shot, the taking of measurements of the target, repeated constantly, by laser pulses of measurement issued of the dimension of the weapon, determination of the separation of the target and of the deviation of the target with respect to a line of reference, and memorisation of the pharmaceutical which result. At the instant of the starting of the shot, the transmission of the pharmaceutical memorized to the target by signals laser codes and interrupting the taking of measurements of the target. After the starting of the shot: simulated during the time of flight of the projectile, measurement of the movement of the target with respect to the direction of the reception signals of the laser and the control of an indication of the object by comparing the data transmitted and the position of the target at the end of the time of flight of the projectile.
