Apparatus for removing dust from air includes a motor driven first shaft (52), a second shaft (53) held within a water tank (55), an endless filtering net (54) which is guided by and surrounds the first (52) and second (53) shafts and a motor driven fan (4). The air driven by the fan is filtered through the wet, travelling filtering net (54). An ultraviolet lamp (59) may be mounted between the two sides (541, 542) of the circulating filtering net (54) to sterilize the air, and a dust scraper (56) may clean the net. IMAGE
