DIAGNOSIS AND RELIEF SYSTEM FOR COMMON BUS FAULT

PURPOSE:To perform automatically the search of a faulty device and isolation of the faulty device from a common bus when a bus fault occurs, by providing a common bus connection/switch device between the common bus and a line trunk device for connection and cut-off of the bus. CONSTITUTION:An output gate circuit of a line trunk device 151 has a trouble and a common bus 120 is held at a logical positive or negative level. Then a central controller 100 detects a fault of the bus 120. Under such conditions, the controller 100 sends the bus cut-off indication signals to common bus connection/switch devices 140, 141 and 142 respectively to check the generation of the fault of the bus 120 after cutting off the connection between trunk devices 150-152 and the bus 120. Then the device 151 is separated from the bus 120 and at the same time transmits the bus connection indicating signals to the corresponding devices 140 and 142 in order to connect the nondefect devices 150 and 152.
