Sighting pattern intended to be illuminated by a source of radiation and to produce, in response to this illumination, a discrete set of light spots which are characteristic of the sighting pattern and of its position with respect to the source of radiation and are intended to be detected by a detector coincident or not with the source of radiation and forming together with it an imager. It is characterised in that it comprises a plurality of adjacent corrugations each including a projection and a groove, the said corrugations being arranged in such a way that the discrete set of points seen by the imager is distributed along a straight or curved line.
