A towed vehicle chassis with a front cross-piece in the form of a deflector-stabilizer

In a towed vehicle chassis and more especially a caravan chassis, formed by a framework (1) to which are fixed the different mechanical devices and members of the vehicle, such as its axes (2), its braking device (4), its stabilizing jacks (5) and its towing device (11), this framework further comprising a front cross-piece (14) on which the front part of the bodywork of the vehicle is intended to bear. This front cross-piece (14) is constructed in the form of a deflector- stabilizer or "spoiler" which, while being sufficiently strong despite its low weight for withstanding the stresses which are imposed thereon by the bodywork of the vehicle, improves the coefficient of penetration into the air of the chassis and the road grip of the towing vehicle-towed vehicle assembly.
