Folding rail as attachment fitting on cameras for photographic or ciné pictures (moving pictures)

The above-named folding rail can be used in the case of photographic pictures for the purpose of freely adapting the composition of a prescribed picture theme. It is, moreover, independent of the particular camera model, because it is mounted only on the tripod thread. This holds both for hand-held pictures and tripod pictures. A few examples illustrate the application: 1. An object (motor vehicle, telegraph pole or other) which for the purpose of shooting is not desired in an open landscape or street scene can be covered by freely selectable means (template, grass blades, flowers or similar). These parts are inserted into the head end of the rail. By means of its joints, the rail makes it possible to pivot into any desired image plane. See the diagrammatic drawing in this regard. 2. It is likewise possible by means of this pivoting into place to cause an arbitrary object corresponding to the picture theme to appear partially in the picture, e.g. in the case of an excessively free part in a landscape. 3. The folding rail can likewise be used in a versatile fashion for studio pictures of all sorts (including reproductions) in which an ambitious composition is desired.
