For facing wall surfaces, relatively thin, flexible or pliant facing bricks, which are formed from mineral materials with elastomeric binders without pressing, are removed individually from a common foil and are applied with joint spacings by adhesive bonding to the wall to be faced. By e.g. previous painting, the wall surface can also form the desired joint base without jointing work.
