Target-search method for a terminally-guided munition

In order to prevent a plurality of submunitions (guided missiles) which are ejected together over a target region and are each equipped with a radar target-search head locking onto the same target, the search heads are equipped with receivers which analyse the radiation reflected from targets to which they are being driven in each case, to determine whether the signal of another target search head is already included therein. If this is the case, the search head and hence the respective submunition searches for another target. The method according to the invention is suitable for use in the case of multiple munition systems which are controlled by radar target-search heads, for destroying a plurality of targets.
