The method involves bonding a 2 to 20 mm thick mat of chips of synthetic or natural rubber bound by means of a polyurethane binder to a concrete substrate using an adhesive or binder after the cement composition has set, so that it is no longer possible to remove the mat without breaking the material. The adhesive is preferably a solvent-free, two-component epoxy resin adhesive and/or a solvent- free, two-component polyurethane adhesive. IMAGE
