A process to prepare a full-value humus in the course of one year by conversion from sewage sludges, even in the case of lacking acceptance and mineral soil by addition of topsoil
The process to prepare a full-value humus from sewage sludges, even in the case of lacking acceptance and mineral soil and addition of topsoil (inoculation) in the course of a growth period in a two-stage conversion proceeds at normal outside temperatures. In contrast to compost production, which proceeds at temperatures up to 80 DEG Celsius and in which the oxidation process is very rapid, the temperatures increase only slightly in the present mixture. The most important factor in order to conduct the aerobic bacteria to complete reproductive capacity is maximum supply of oxygen. The actinomycetes and bacteria require the organic substances from the sewage sludge for oxidation, they take the necessary trace elements from the mineral soil. As a result of these processes, the soil, initially still as a mixture, is converted to humus with the assistance of chemical processes (cation and anion exchange). Visible optimal soil conditions and humus odour.
