METHOD FOR POSITIONING AND FIXING STAVE COOLER IN REPAIRING STAGE OF BLAST FURNACE WALL

PURPOSE:To stably position and fix replacement type stave cooler to a blast furnace wall by utilizing cooling pipes for the stave cooler to position the stave cooler. CONSTITUTION:Positioning chains 5 are preliminarily attached to the replacement type stave cooler 4 and the cooling pipe 7 for passing the cooling water of the stave cooler 4 and basting bricks 8 for suppressing the quantity of the heat to be derived of from the furnace inside are cast therein. The existing iron shell and bricks are bored from the outside so that the pipings 7 and guide pipes 6 for positioning can be passed therethrough in the stage of attaching the stave cooler. The chains 5 are drawn to the outside of the furnace through the through-holes for the guide pipes and the guide pipes are attached to the iron shell, then the chains 5 are tensed and fixed to fixe the replacement type stave cooler 4. The spacings between the pipings 7 and the piping holes provided to the blast furnace shell 3 are hermetically sealed by welding.
