PURPOSE:To obtain an array structure of component elements which enables the safe and efficient implementation of series of testing operations at a specified space, by grasping upper and lower end electrodes of an arrestor with respective grasping mechanisms to perform a specified cycling motion. CONSTITUTION:When upper and lower end electrodes of an arrestor J are grasped with respective grasping mechanisms H and then, a sequential conveying mechanism C is operated with a driving mechanism D, the grasping mechanism H makes a specified cycling motion as grasping the arrestor J. At this point, the upper and lower electrodes of the arrestor J gets in contact temporarily with a pair of upper and lower fixed electrodes 28A and 28B set at a specified position corresponding to the locus of the cycling motion. Consequently, testers connected to the electrodes 28A and 28B are operated to perform the first insulation resistance test, discharge withstand test and the second insulation resistance test sequentially for each arrestor J while a varistor voltage test is done at a proper point. Workers are protected from an electric shock accident with a shielding wall while the results of the test are automatically judged with a central processor unit.
