PROCESS FOR THE REMOVAL OF VOLATILE CONTENTS FROM WATER PRODUCED DURING COAL UPGRADING PROCESSES

In a process for the removal of volatile contents from the water produced during coal upgrading process, gas is heated in a direct heat exchanger (9), saturated with steam and then used in order to drive out the volatile substances in a stripper (4). The liquid which is fed into the direct heat exchanger is pre-heated in one or several indirect heat exchangers (17, 36), with partial or total use of the heat which is given off.
