PURPOSE:To quickly increase the temp. in a sample injection region without providing a special heater by forming a conductive film to the outside periphery of a capillary column housed in a column over inclusive of the sample injection region thereof and energizing the conductive film so that the film generates heat. CONSTITUTION:The capillary column 1, one end of which is connected to a detector 3 and the other end to a sample injecting mechanism 4 is housed into the column oven 2. The conductive film 5 consisting of aluminum or carbon, etc., is formed by vapor deposition to the outside periphery of the column 1 in the part which is connected to a sample injecting mechanism 4 to form the sample injection region S. Lead wires 6, 6 are attached to both ends of the film 5 and are connected to a power source 7. After the sample is injected from the mechanism 4 to the region S, the film 5 is energized to heat the column 1. The sample quickly evaporated by heating flows in the column 1 and arrives at the detector 3. The conductive film 5 is extremely thin; therefore, the temp. is quickly dropped to attain the temp. of the column oven 2 when the energization is stopped in the stage when the evaporation of the sample ends. Thereafter, the film follows up the temp. of the column oven quickly.
