PURPOSE:To select an optimum drive-in angle easily, by making a drive-in pipe freely movable in advancing and retreating along the axial direction of the pipe and freely turnable in the vertical direction by setting a virtual point as a turning center on the axial line of the tip side of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:A drive-in pipe 6 is adjusted to an optimum drive-in angle by a drive-in angle adjusting device 7. That is two screwed shafts 30, 31 are rotated by prescribed number of turns by a motor 32, then a sliding bed 34 moves in the same direction along the axial direction of the screwed shafts 30, 31. At this time, the moving quantity of a nut engaging with the shaft 31 is smaller than that of the other nut because the screw pitch of the shaft 31 placed on the side of a coiling drum device 1 is smaller than that of the other shaft 30. Said difference of moving quantity makes the pipe 6 turn around the virtual point O set as a turning center on the axial line of the tip side of the pipe 6. The virtual point O is set on the prescribed position between inner and outer diametral frames 4, 3. The optimum drive-in angle is detected and controlled by a controlling box 33.
