Multistage biological sewage treatment - with modular elements in inner oval basin surrounded by outer oval basin

A multi-stage biological cleaning plant for organically polluted sewage has been designed on modular principles. It consists of two concentric oval basins with the annulus bet between them forming a circulating activated sludge basin. The inner basin has a modular section subdivided into functional spaces for aerobic sludge stabilisation, a partly immersed trickling filter disc and for final settling.
