The therapeutic element is intended for application to or near the skin of a patient to produce a desirable physiological or patho-physiological reaction (see below). It comprises a light-impermeable layer which is provided with openings and covered by a film of transparent material such as used in photography, e.g., cellulose acetate, extending over the openings. This film pref. carries a silver deposit, at least in the areas covering the openings, and may be an exposed and developed X-ray film.
