In a methane-drainage pipe for gas-drainage boreholes in underground working, with casing by socket pipes which have an annular seal in the socket and a tension-proof connection for the insertion end, opposite the socket, of the following socket pipe, in which case the connection can be made by inserting the pipes into the sockets, provision is made according to the invention for the insertion end to be a smooth pipe section and for the tension-proof connection to be a tipping ring which is arranged on the socket and by means of which the insertion end can be inserted into the socket, and for the tipping ring to be fastened to a ring flange, projecting inwards, of the socket over a fraction of the length of its wall, a ring surface of the socket ring flange serving as an axial bearing for the annular seal consisting of a rolling ring.
