The subject of the invention relates to a device intended for increasing the efficiency of metal detectors. It consists of the combination of a door leaf free of any metallic part, that is to say frame, rivets, nails or even of any locking element with earthing 12, 13 of the fixed frame or hinges avoiding any transfer of static electricity. It applies more particularly to doors giving access to monitored areas at the entrance of public establishments, banks and the like, in order to remove the interferences likely to perturb the metal detection signalling equipment.
