PURPOSE:To facilitate the opening and closing of a rotary roaster, by moving horizontally a disk net on the open side of the rotary roaster with a guide lever by an air cylinder and bringing the tea leaf feeder of an inclined chute into contact with the center opening of the disk net. CONSTITUTION:The net disk 4 on the open side of the rotary roaster 1 is moved horizontally using a guide lever 7 with an air or hydraulic cylinder 6 or vertically moved together with the horizontal movement mechanism. The chute for feeding raw tea leaves are half rotated over the air-tight cover, until it comes into contact with the center opening 8 of the net disk 4, to form an inclined feeding chute which facilitates the sliding feed of raw tea leaves. The net disk and the opening and closing of the air-tight lid and air tightness and the feed of raw tea leaves becomes easy.
