The invention provides antiarrhythmic agents of the formula:- CHEM or a pharmaceuticaliy acceptable salt thereof, wherein R1 is C1-C4 alkyl; X is -(CH2)2-, -CH(OH)CH2-, -COCH2- or a direct link; and R2 is 4-pyridyl or 4-amino-2-pyridyl.
