A device for protecting against atmospheric precipitation on vehicles, having a carrier (3) which is removably mounted on the vehicle roof (1'), on which at least one dispenser (7) is located out of which a flexible cover body (8) can be drawn and laid onto the window (2) to be protected. The carrier is expediently formed by means of a hollow section and is bow-shaped like a ski carrier. The cover body is film-like and guided in the hollow section by means of a slot- like opening (9).
