Foreign language laboratory - has communication links between students and lecturer with students located in two man cabins

The foreign language laboratory is based upon partitioned cabins (100), each of which is sized to take a pair of students on either side of a table. The table support a magnetic tape recorder/player. The cabins are arranged in a 'U' shape floor layout that has the lecturers desk at the centre. A keyboard in each booth enables a student to call the lecturer. A telephone link (4b) may be used to talk to the students. An additional facility is provided in the form of a film projector with a screen visible to all students. ADVANTAGE - Provides efficient communication between language students and lecturer.
