The invention relates to a nuclear reactor installation arranged in a steel pressure container having a helium-cooled high-temperature small reactor, a helium/helium heat exchanger and at least one helium/water heat exchanger for afterheat removal. It is the object of the invention to construct such an installation in such a way that all the heat exchangers can be repeatedly tested and individual pipes can be sealed off. According to the invention, the helium/water heat exchanger is arranged above the helium/helium heat exchanger, and both heat exchangers are surrounded by a sheet-metal jacket. In the latter, two plate collectors are installed by means of sliding connections for the horizontally sited water delivery conduit and water removal conduit. The secondary helium is delivered and removed in two concentrically arranged central pipes which are accessible from above. Both pipes merge in their end region into a drum-type collector. The inner central pipe is dimensioned and designed in such a way that a remotely operable manipulator can be guided to the two drum-type collectors. IMAGE
