For the tactile and visual marking of the edges of platforms and kerbstones using the sliding strip for the long feeling stick of visually handicapped people, high investment costs were necessary, without there being a possibility of redeeming these costs. In order that the investment costs pay for themselves many times, the sliding strip A for the long feeling stick of visually handicapped people is formed with a rentable advertising space B, the sliding strip A for the long feeling stick of visually handicapped people being formed on the edge of the platform in such a way that it projects minimally above the edge of the platform (diagram 1 Fig. 1.-3.) and can be detected both with the long feeling stick and visually, while the advertising space B is formed on the base D.a of the platform and is visible from the opposite platform.
