In the case of a curtain-wall-type exterior-wall cladding for masonrywork walls (1), provision is made of panel-type structural elements (5) which are retained on the masonrywork wall (1), exhibit holes (7) continuing in the direction towards the masonrywork wall (1) and are covered directly by plaster (9). In order to be able to mount the exterior-wall cladding in a simple manner and to avoid cracks in the plaster (9), the cladding is formed from a multiplicity of small-surface-area structural elements (5), and a reinforcement known per se is embedded in the plaster (9) engaging over the joints (8) between adjacent structural elements (5) (Fig. 1).
