The device comprises a display unit 4, against one face 5 of which the object 1 is supported, and is characterised in that the display unit 4 comprises at least one hole 6, 7 into which an insert 8, 9 is inserted, projecting radially, on which the object 1 is suspended or rests or on which a cover 10, at least partly transparent, may be fixed to allow viewing of the object 1. These holes preferably pass all the way through, while it would be possible to provide several holes allowing the position of the insert to be varied as desired to show different sizes and types of object with a single display unit. A device forming an extremely simple display unit, of low cost, which can be made in various, particularly aesthetic shapes is thus obtained. IMAGE
