ROCK FILLER FILL-UP GROUND DENSITY MEASURING METHOD BY IN-SITU GROUND FREEZING METHOD

PURPOSE:To increase the degree of accuracy of density measurement by freezing the ground through refrigerant, digging the frozen part out of the ground to obtain the volume by a liquid container and, at the same time, defrosting and drying the frozen part to be dug out to obtain the weight, and calculating the density from both volume and weight thereof. CONSTITUTION:A freezing pipe 6 is placed into the fill-up ground 1, and refrigerant such as liquid nitrogen and the like is supplied to freeze the ground 1. After that, a frozen part is dug out of the ground, and it is contained into a liquid container to obtain the volume thereof. Furthermore, the frozen part 7 to be dug out is defrosted and dried to obtain the weight thereof. The density is calculated from the obtained volume and weight. According to the constitution, the density of the ground can be measured with high degree of accuracy.
