METHOD FOR LATERAL-PILLOW-TYPE PACKAGING PRODUCT CURVED IN PRIMARILY CURVED SHAPE

PURPOSE:To perform lateral pillow-type packaging with a wrapping material web tightly contacting a curved product with air sufficiently vented by a method wherein a second conveyer belt and an upper-pressing conveyer are used to hold a curved product in a package cylinder to be transferred on a sponge-like endless swollen chain part of an intermediate conveyer. CONSTITUTION:A curved product (s) in a primarily curved shape within a package cylinder (f) is mounted over a sponge-like endless swollen chain part 4b having an angled cross section, carried by an intermediate conveyer 4 between a longitudinal sealer 2 and lateral seal cutters 3a, 3b, and held by a block-like upper-pressing member 5b made of sponge of an upper-pressing conveyer 5. Therefore, the package cylinder (f) comprising a wrapping material web (w) is brought into good tight contact with an upper and a lower faces of the curved product (s) while displacement of the curved product (s) may not occur at this time, permitting air in the package cylinder (f) to be exhausted from an opening of a former 1 without an air suction means provided so that lateral pillow-type packaging with air almost completely vented is obtained.
