VIRUS VACCINE FOR SUSPECTED CASE OF HYDROPHOBIA

PURPOSE: To obtain a vaccine for immunizing and sensitizing mammal to Aujeszky's disease, comprising a polypeptide having an immunizing activity characteristic of glycoprotein gII of pseudorabies virus(PRV). CONSTITUTION: This vaccine comprises a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence which is a part of glycoprotein gII which is one of five structural envelope glycoproteins and containing at least one polypeptide fragment of the glucoprotein gII. The polypeptide includes at least one of polypeptide fragment positioned between amino acid No.590 and 710 of natural glucoprotein gII or between amino acid No.415 and 533 or at least one of polypeptide fragment of natural glucoprotein gII corresponding to epitope recognized by monoclonal antibody I/5, IN4, N4, N12 and an antibody carrying out cross reaction with the antibody.
