PURPOSE: To approve the execution of a transaction by a user from a reception password by digitally coding a mapped password, generating a sign and storing the coded password/sign in an individual identification card. CONSTITUTION: A card issuing means gathers required individual data from a card applicant. Then, the individual data or the like are processed and a password is generated. Then, the password is mapped by a prescribed unidirectional function F and the mapped password Q is generated. Then, the mapped password Q is 'digitally coded' by the keys (P1 .P2 ) for an individual of a public key ciphering system pair and the so-called 'sign' is generated. Then, the password and the sign are coded by an error correction code and the coded password/sign are generated. Thus, even when slight data are destructed, use is surely made possible. Then, the coded password/sign are practically stored in the individual identification card.
