PURPOSE:A pharmaceutical preparation for vasodilation and reduction in blood pressure, showing the duration of concentration in the blood in its original state wherein no duration treatment is carried out at all, obtained by blending PP-1466 with cyclodextrin, powdering it. CONSTITUTION:1mol PP-1466: 2,6-dimethyl-3,5-dimethoxycarbonyl-4-(O-difluoromethoxyphenyl)-1,4-dih ydropyridine is blended with =1mol, preferably 1-5mol cyclodextrin and powdered sufficiently by a mortar, ball mill, etc., or a small amount of water is added to the blend to give paste, which is kneaded by a mortar, grinder, etc. and dried to give a pharmaceutical preparation having prolonged effect, increased solubility in water and improved bioavailability.
