摘要

PURPOSE:To form steel-graphite composite iron vibration proof material superior in vibration damping capacity, mechanical strength, heat resistance and weldability, by impregnating and filling low carbon equivalent steel into continuous pore of porous graphite. CONSTITUTION:Steel contg. 1% carbon equivalent is impregnated and filled in the continuous pores of porous graphite to form the titled material. The porous graphite is obtd. by adhering graphite in mud state to e.g. urethane foam, drying then baking them to incinerate the urethane foam and that having 5 mesh void size and 50-90% porocity is suitable. The carbon equivalent is calculated by a formula; carbon equivalent %=C+Mn/6+Si/24+Ni/40+Cr/5+ Mo/4+V/14. The vibration proof material is used as cylindrical, plate shaped or columnar state, further it is favorable to use it by forming steel layer of =2mm thickness, favorably, about 0.1-1% C at one or both sides or in casting state to the steel-graphite composite layer.
